The Little Himalayan Railway is an ultra-compact 009 ‘pizza’ layout with the spirit of the world-famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) at its detailed heart.
Within three interleaved track spirals it depicts a typical switchback as the line steeply winds and climbs its way up the hilly terrain via tunnels, cuttings, bridges and a typical rural station.
Over 5 metres of running line are packed into the 80cm diameter layout which can have three operating trains at any one time. The majority is scenic, illustrating the parallel road route and the mountainous, wooded terrain with scenes common to the DHR.
